dorkfest!

sketchbook stuff

I can't help it, geekiness is in the genes

sketchy

a sketch of mary done in pencil

sketchbook crap.

something random done in pencil

sketchy

a whole sketch page, unedited. the figure on the right is supposed to resemble Buck 65. I drew him as if he were some lecherous pervert.

I was wondering if you take requests for payment. I would really like to give my friend a picture of Danny Tanner from Full House for his birthday. I would pay whatever you'd be willing to do it for, because I think you're amazingly talented.

Get back to me.
Keep on truckin'

w3rd. geeks got to represent. haha. your villians are rad

thanks for the nice comments.

for life drawing check out the workshop section at paletteandchisel.org they've got like two or three open sessions everyday. $10. the place is run by a bunch of oldsters, but everybody ive met in the workshops is really quite talented (if a bit traditional). + its in a good location if you don't drive.
i know of a couple other places, but don't have any personal experience with them.

Congrats in getting "noticed" by Blogger....although I'm not sure that's a blessing.

I really like your work and the fact that you are posting often.

Come by and say "hey", if you've got nothing better to do.

Well, Buck - aka Rich - IS a pervert. And an asshole and a freak. I know, because one of my closest friends dated him for a year until his 'I'll love you forever' and 'Marry me' comments crumbled and we discovered that he has half a dozen concubines in every city he's toured in - and that he gives the same story to every girl. Yes, a pervert indeed! What a fitting image.

I am amazed everytime I see one of your sketches. They're not only fun to look at, but arouse the mind and make you think, something people have forgotten about. Keep drawing, you're very, very talented at it.

Your sketches are quite lovely. I enjoyed the one of "Mary". Nice of you to leave off the sleep-drool.

I like seeing your sketches. It's so hard for me to sketch things. I'm trying to get in the habit of sketching again. I have a few empty sketch pads but yet i've started doodling in opencanvas instead. Anyways love your drawings can't wait to see others.

Hi! These drawings are great! Hmm... I should do this too... I love to draw. How do you put the drawings on the blog? I just started blogging and I am annoyed that no-one has commented...
Come see my blog!

Anyways, a very accurate rendition of G.W.B.

I enjoy your sketches. My favorite is the one you did of mary. It's the least "characaturesque". Very warm and subtle. My kind of sketch. I encourage more of these. I like the simple human emotion it conveys. It's a far stretch from my sock monkeys (they're really quite sad little pen sketches, but they're growing on me). You can check them out on my xanga site, but i hope to join here soon, as xanga is annoying the hell out of me. www.xanga.com/swincam21

cheers,

I Want More!
I just encountered this blog, and your work was so breathtaking I looked at every painting/drawing you posted. Now I'm hungry for more. I must say your Batman drawings are really fantastic. Do you draw for comic books?
Well, I really can't say much more except please make sure you take good care of your scanner and keep on drawing.

Great Work!
I know a lot of artists who can do great realistic sketches, and several who do great comic/graphic novel style work, but few who can do both. Your work reminds me a little of a guy I went to college with who was so talented and versitile he made me question why I bothered attending.
I love your interpretations of Ivy and Two-face. Great job!

Your artwork is awesome. I am a massive batman geek myself and I very much like your batman drawings. I have several boxes of Batman memorabilia in various closets/storage lockers. (June 17th, Baby!) You should visit www.deviantart.com and create a gallery.
